Happy New Year!!!

Valencia hasn't been sleeping very well the last few nights so we decided what better night to try to keep her up longer. We went to the annual New Years Eve party at Dr. Tom and Debbie's. While everyone was drinking Valencia got drunk on sleep depravation. She went from happy to sleep buzzed to totally sleep wasted. She even tried to drunk dial Charlie with Grandma Lora's phone. Now she's passed out in her crib.

Just like Wonka Vision but without having to be split into millions of tiny pieces that go whizzing through the air down to a tv where they are all put back together again

Movin' on up

To the east side (of the house) To a deluxe apartment (nursery) in the sky (right next to our room) we finally got a piece of the pie (a good nights sleep)

So sleepy

Valencia had such a blast with Noni and Grandpa today she had to get a nap in before Mama brought her home. It's things like this, walking in and seeing our baby girl all snuggled in by the tree. We are so lucky to have Mom and Dad so close. We love you, thanks so much for taking such good care of her.

Feed me

Valencia has been so hungry lately we decided to skip the rice cereal and go straight for the good stuff. She wasn't so sure about the taste of the carrots but thought the spoon was fun.

Mama has the day off

Since Michaela was off she and Valencia hit some of the after Christmas sales. Valencia worked up quite the appetite so she decided it would be good to try some brown rice cereal for the first time. I think she liked it.

Christmas

Valencia's first Christmas was very nice. She mostly liked to eat the wrapping paper and any boxes she could find.

The night before Christmas

After some play time with Abbot everyone came over for dinner. Valencia had a blast getting passed around. Her first Christmas, Michaela and I can't put it into words the happiness she brings to us.

Party animal

Tonight Valencia went to mamas work Christmas party. She had a blast and even got a kiss from Santa aka Jonah

Look close

Valencia is starting to get some hair. We tried to give her a mohawk in the bath but it didn't work.

Better safe than sorry

Now that Valencia is rolling around so much Mama decide it would be best to get her some protective head gear. Actually these are very nice interchangeable headbands made by one of the patients at Michaela's work. Thanks Junes mom.

Christmas stuff

Valencia is really getting in to Christmas. Mostly she likes to look at and taste the decorations all around the house.

Christmas tree

Today we put up our Christmas tree. Valencia was a big help rolling around under the tree while we decorated it. She was very excited when we put on her special ornament from Aunt Shirley and I think she was pleased with final product.

Don't worry I'll get it myself

Valencia is getting very mobile. My favorite is when she sees her pacifier on the other side of the crib. Even if she has one nothing will stop her from getting another and when she does she just spits it out and plugs the new one in.

Morning yoga

Testing the straps in her bouncer. Now we know why they put belts in all this baby stuff.

Cookie party

Valencia went to Moma's cookie party where she played with Hailey and Hannah. After that we went to Corwin's Christmas program at his school. Valencia enjoyed it for about five minutes then fell asleep.

Valencia likes to be part of the action and Abbot likes to be where ever Valencia is. They were a big help cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast today.

Valencia looks like she picked up on how to sit from her cousins. She's no expert but getting pretty good. She still prefers to roll around and play with Abbot.
