Wake up

One of the first things Valencia does after waking up is look for Abbot. If he's asleep then she will do whatever it takes to wake him up to play.

Michaela was stuck late at work tonight so Valencia got some extra swing time with Grandpa and Noni

Busy day

We had a lot of stuff to do around the house today. Grammy took the kids to the park and Abbot supervised the staining of the deck. Then Spencer and Cooper each took turns playing with Valencia.

I guess girls are ok

Cooper, Spencer, Grammy and Da are down for the weekend. With the addition of another girl to the family the boys are determined to get Valencia to play guns with them. Congrats to Lisa and Samir we can't wait to meet baby Aziza.

A little help

Now that Valencia is getting so mobile she often finds herself stuck in, on, under, behind and between things.

Sick day

Valencia and Michaela both stayed home sick today. It was a warm one so they headed to the backyard to sweat it out. Valencia played in her herb garden and threw rocks in the grass.

We did eat but spent most of the time playing. Noni and Grandpa got Valencia this cool swing. Then is was back to work at home. Washing windows is way more fun when you have a Valencia on the other side.

In this case it's eye eye. Valencia was to the optometrist today and her eyes checked out perfect. I still can't figure out how he got her to read that eye chart.

Lock down

Valencia's new favorite thing to do is climb up the stairs. Another gate is going up this weekend but till then we can't take our eyes off her.

No I'm not

I am a bunny. No I'm not, I'm a kitty kitty and Abbots a kitty kitty and my toy is a kitty kitty. She won't say Papa and when she says Mama it's rarely directed at Michaela. But four days at Ken and Liz's with cats we hardly saw and she can say kitty kitty with no problem.

New friend

Liz gave Valencia this giraffe while we where in South Dakota and he has become a quick favorite. She named him Saloman Kalou. It's strange to me how most of her stuffed animals are named after soccer players, it won't be long before she has one heck of a starting 11.

Irish traveler birthday

It was Spencer's 8th birthday so we celebrated gypsy style in Grammy and Da's camper. Valencia enjoyed watching us play baseball out the window and having all nine of us packed in the back of a pick up truck. It's our last night in the hills and we can't believe what a trooper Valencia has been. She's only had one nap not in her car seat since Wednesday and has been late getting to bed every night. You would think with the lack of sleep and meeting so many people for the first time she would get a little cranky but she's really been happy as could be the entire trip, unless someone sneezes.

We had a fun day playing with Auntie Megan, Cooper and Spencer. Valencia sure loves her cousins and makes the best little squeal laugh when she sees them.

Baptism

Today Valencia was baptized by Aunt Sharla, it was a beautiful ceremony and Valencia was able to meet all of her family up in South Dakota.
