Good morning

Valencia is always happy first thing in the morning. In other news Abbot is getting real good at letting us know when she needs her diaper changed.

Valencia was to the hip doc today and everything is looking good.

Dinner

I had the day off and we were having so much fun we didn't want to take the time to cook so we went out.

Produce day!!!!

Every Wednesday we get a bag of produce from a local organic farm. Today Valencia and Abbot helped wash it. Valencia really liked the purple veggies and Abbot thinks it's his all you can eat buffet.

Shoe hound

Valencia took a nap with some of her shoes today. Then went to see Dr. Tom. She has a special connection with him since he was the first person to see her back when she was the size of a poppy seed.

Growing up

In just the last few days Valencia has really started to understand the world around her. She can hear things, focus on us and other objects but still can't find her thumb.

Happy Birthday

Today Valencia got to spend the afternoon at Vespers 1st b-day and hang with her friend Jonah. It was perfect weather with just enough rain to keep it cool.

Party time.

We we out late over at Aunt Monica's for her birthday party. Valencia hung out with Noni and fed the fish with her friend Chloe. Then she just hung out in her stroller. She was awake for over four hours straight. Bet she sleeps good tonight.

That's pretty much what she does. It only took a few days to get Mattea to hold Valencia and she was sad to se her go.

Chopstick

We were out for dinner tonight. Valencia slept the whole time but was wide awake this morning playing with her elephant.

Coffee break

It was wicked nice out this morning so Valencia went for a stroll to the coffee shop. Later she came to town to get a back-up harness and stopped by my work to say hi. The sun was pretty bright so I let her borrow my hat.

Relaxing

Valencia had a nice day hanging out and talking with her monkey.

Aunt Doreen finally came down to meet Valencia. I think it made her day, look at that smile.

Babysitting

Valencia was on her own with Noni and Grandpa this afternoon. Grandpa showed us how holding a baby is just like riding a bike. Hope he wears a helmet when he rides. Noni on the other hand has it down to a science. Michaela and I had no idea what to do without Valencia so we went to Baby Gap.

Friends

Valencia had lots of guests today. First "Grandma" Lora and Alex then Afton, Christopher and Caela.

This thing isn't that bad ;(

It's Valencia's 2nd day in her paratrooper harness. Noni came over for lunch and uncle Daniel stopped in to say hi.

Froggy

Valencia was born breech which resulted in her having a minor case of hip dysplasia. We were to the orthopedic doc today and had her fitted for this harness. She will wear it almost 24 hours a day for about the next three months. This will shorten and strengthen the tendons around her hips. She seems to like the way it holds her legs and although different, Michaela has found several ways to comfort and snuggle her.

Valencia really likes to go out in the world. As long as she's back home within three hours.

Valencia loved to meet her Aunt Julie and spend some time with Grandma and Da before they leave for Europe in the morning.
