Aye Aye Captain

In this case it's eye eye. Valencia was to the optometrist today and her eyes checked out perfect. I still can't figure out how he got her to read that eye chart.

Lock down

Valencia's new favorite thing to do is climb up the stairs. Another gate is going up this weekend but till then we can't take our eyes off her.

No I'm not

I am a bunny. No I'm not, I'm a kitty kitty and Abbots a kitty kitty and my toy is a kitty kitty. She won't say Papa and when she says Mama it's rarely directed at Michaela. But four days at Ken and Liz's with cats we hardly saw and she can say kitty kitty with no problem.

New friend

Liz gave Valencia this giraffe while we where in South Dakota and he has become a quick favorite. She named him Saloman Kalou. It's strange to me how most of her stuffed animals are named after soccer players, it won't be long before she has one heck of a starting 11.

Irish traveler birthday

It was Spencer's 8th birthday so we celebrated gypsy style in Grammy and Da's camper. Valencia enjoyed watching us play baseball out the window and having all nine of us packed in the back of a pick up truck. It's our last night in the hills and we can't believe what a trooper Valencia has been. She's only had one nap not in her car seat since Wednesday and has been late getting to bed every night. You would think with the lack of sleep and meeting so many people for the first time she would get a little cranky but she's really been happy as could be the entire trip, unless someone sneezes.

We had a fun day playing with Auntie Megan, Cooper and Spencer. Valencia sure loves her cousins and makes the best little squeal laugh when she sees them.

Baptism

Today Valencia was baptized by Aunt Sharla, it was a beautiful ceremony and Valencia was able to meet all of her family up in South Dakota.

1st full day in the black hills

We got to visit Grammy and Da at their property. Hang with some very still wildlife. A short visit with Marry Beth and Hayla Rose. Then had a nice relax with Cousin Cooper the baby whisperer.

Road trip

We took the long way up to South Dakota. Actually the shortest way possible we just had a few breaks along the way. Valencia did great in the car for such a long drive. We made it in time to have a nice dinner with Ken & Liz.

Playing in the dirt

This is what Michaela found when she picked up Valencia the other day. It's no wonder she lights up every morning when I drop her off. Sure in the back of my Dad's mind he's thinking "if I can get her to think pulling weeds is fun" but I'm positive everything they do together is a blast.

Dish duty

Now if we could just get her to pick up her toys every night. Not really because as much as it hurts when I step on one of them in the dark it puts the biggest smile on my face.
